How does Time Line Therapy® techniques and Cognitive Hypnotherapy work?
The premise is to work with the unconscious mind and to lift the critical faculty of the conscious thinking. You already do this everyday but no one has told you how. The conscious mind continuously filters, distorts, deletes and generalises ideas and concepts. Hence it is your unconscious mind that we are after, not your conscious thinking.
How can I prepare myself for the session?
Be open to be real and transparent. You must also be able to follow instructions. You must formulate goals you want to achieve and list measurable outcomes that you can describe in the positive state to help identify when you have achieved them.
What can I expect at each session?
The truth does reveal itself through the unconscious by using Time Line Therapy® techniques and Cognitive Hypnotherapy. It has been described as “liberating, empowering, refreshing, like a burden lifting”. Hence, we refer to tears you may or may not shed as tears of joy and not sadness.
Will I be hypnotised?
You should not feel hypnotised. You are always in control throughout the whole session and you will not do anything you are not comfortable with. You will remain conscious the whole time (otherwise therapy won’t work)!
Will my information be kept confidential?
As your practitioner and coach, I will remain respectful and have no judgement at what is revealed in therapy. As part of confidentiality, what is disclosed in therapy will remain in the room with us. If you wish for me to liaise with your doctor, then that permission must be made in writing. The only mandatory reporting will be to your GP or referring doctor for any potential risk of harm to self or to others.
How many sessions will I need?
The idea is to work through as much healing and growth in just the one time. For most of the clients, you only need one, three-hour session. It is very intensive and yet very productive. If you have more to learn and discover about yourself, then you choose the option of returning to acquire more techniques. If you remain open, listen and follow the instructions, then it will take a shorter time to heal and grow.
Wear the most comfortable clothes and bring snacks and a drink (as the therapy is comfortably long)!
